During the winter months, the beaches of Horsey, Waxham and Winterton are populated by breeding seals. In the summer, you can take boat trips from the seafront at Great Yarmouth to see them basking on Scroby Sand.
For those interested in maritime, along the coast, you will find Happisburgh Lighthouse, the oldest working light in East Anglia and the only independently run lighthouse in Great Britain.

The Norfolk Broads
Lose yourself in the tranquillity of the Norfolk Broads or hire a day boat to navigate the waterways. There is always something to see all year round, keep your eyes open for the Swallowtail butterfly and Norfolk Hawker Dragonfly.
